I would like, however, to build up a collection of beep quality sounds (ie *short* sounds to be used for the system beep). If anyone has any nifty ones, be sure and send them to the cs.orst.edu archives and maybe the others depending on what they want to allow on their archives. And for those who want to add sounds and don't know how: 1) you can change your own sound from the Preferences application. Or, 2) you can change the default (system wide) sound by doing this: host> su host> ln -s /NextLibrary/Sounds/NewSound.snd /NextLibrary/Sounds/SystemBeep.snd Bryce jasmerb@cs.orst.edu
