Can anybody point me to a definitive statement about what signals are
blocked in an RPC caller when it is hanging about waiting for the
completion of the RP being C'd?

I'm specifically interested in SIGALRM (which I should be getting on an
iterative basis but don't seem to be while calling RPC's).
