Corp., Dayton, Ohio Lines: 19 Does anyone know of a way to limit the size of a news batch file to one site but retain a larger value for others when sending news? I have an IBM running UFgate that seems to be having trouble with large news batch files. I don't really want to send them individually or as plain ASCII. Do I have to tell news to send everybodies news in smaller pieces? I thought of maybe there was a way to send the articles as individual single item batches such that his decompress routine would still work and we could take advantage of compressed news files. I already had to create a way to sent those files using 12 bit compression instead of 16 bit. He was shelling out to DOS to handle the news and was running out of memory. -- _____________________________________________________________________________ ____ ____ ___ Earle Ake /___ /___/ / / Science Applications International Corporation ____// / / /__ Dayton, Ohio ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internet: fac2%dayton.saic.com@uunet.uu.net uucp: uunet!dayvb!fac2
