I was watching the Tony Brown Journal (a PBS broadcast) and heard an individual  
by the name of Dr. Doosberg. He claimed that the HIV virus was not, in fact,   
the cause for the AIDS since it (HIV) didn't really do anything in the human   
body. He is a microbiologist.

He was so sure of his discovery that he was willing to inject himselft with a   
strain of HIV and show that he would not contract AIDS.

His reasoning followed that since HIV was a relatively lazy virus, that it   
couldn't be responicible for killing the imuno-system.

On the other hand, he claimed that the virus, in conjuction with the   
behaviour/life style of the individual in question led to the breakdown of the   
patient's immuno-system.

If anyone has heard of this theory, please respond.
