Quite true.  And while at it why not follow up suggestions such as
this one.  I am sure that everyone would benefit if you (or anyone)
would list names of these packages, or better still upload to
chyde.uwasa.fi and/or Simtel20 in case they aren't already there. 
Contributions in maintaining the anon ftp sites is solicited,
because this privilege should work both ways.  And if a utility is
good and appropriate enough, I am positive that Bill (Davidsen)
might also be interested.
