Hi,
This isn't really a bug-report, but please bear with me.

I have a SystemV.1 box with an integrated graphical user I/F.

Recently I tried to attach a terminal to the RS232 port.
I can login and type commands, but I get no echo after the login.
The user name is echoed (presumably by getty) but when the shell is
started, "stty -a" gives "-echo -echoe -echok" and no "stty echo" in
the world enables echo.

What could be the reason for this?
