A colleague asked if I would post this question. Please
respond via e-mail.

He is running dBase III+. When doing a unique index on a
database of 30,000 records and a data field with a length
of 30 characters, the program quite often stalls after
acomplishing 16%, and gives the message "file not
found." Has anyone else encountered this problem and
what can be done to fix it?

I will post a summary if there are any fixes found.
