I like it quite well, but I need some documentation. Is there anywhere that I can anonymous ftp to get gnu emacs docs??? In my opinion, you'd do much better simply to buy a GNU Emacs manual. It's only $15, and it supports the FSF. It's also competitive with printing the manual yourself. Also, are there any ftp sites, or bulletin boards that have Freemacs hacks, or macros, or extra bindings, and things like that? Hmmmm.... Well, I keep a log file for the mailing list, which is where the nifty Freemacs stuff is posted. It's on sun.soe.clarkson.edu, pub/freemacs/log. How compatible is it with GNU? Can I use GNU macros with it? Keyboard compatible, fairly good, to be better with 1.6a (end of March). You can't use GNU macros with it, but I keep adding similar internal functions to those of GNU Emacs. -- --russ (nelson@clutx [.bitnet | .clarkson.edu]) Russ.Nelson@$315.268.6667 Violence never solves problems, it just changes them into more subtle problems
