I have a 40" HDTV monitor and 1/2" Hi-Vision deck, and the image quality is nice, but I wouldn't say it would knock anybody's socks off. To me the most striking thing is the aspect ratio, which beats the hell out of NTSC, at least. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather record my animations on Hi-Vision than BetaCam, but it's not as good as it could (or should) be. Just my two cents. -- --> Michael B.
