T. S., Toronto, Ontario Lines: 32 I ran into a problem with pathalias when attempting to compile some maps into paths files. I got an error message: "too many terminal links" with no output. The input in question is a very small subset of the total map database. I had been sucessfully making paths files from small variations of this map subset for various client sites when I ran across this. I went to the source with the notion of increasing some hard-coded parameter value, but it doesn't work like that. It dies in a routine "ncopy()" in module "mapaux.c", apparently failing some consistency check. By a slight bit of hand-pruning the data I was able to make a working paths file, but no obvious strategy for further debugging the problem became apparent. Is this bad data, a bug in pathalias, other? Version of pathalias is 9.1 87/10/04, running on a SysVr2+ box (AT&T 3B1). Any advice greatly appreciated, -- Bruce Becker Toronto, Ont.
