Peter,

In the interests of clarity over abbreviation, I would consider
	comp.org.sun-user-group
more informative than
	comp.org.sug
esp. since the local affiliate is a "slug" & I never hear the
word "sug" mentioned in normal discourse.

(it's exactly 14 characters so it fits OK as well)
