Keywords: which protocol ? Message-ID: <435@gestetner.oz> Date: 18 Mar 90 23:50:39 GMT Organization: Gestetner Lasers, Sydney Australia. Lines: 14 What is EtherTalk ? I know that it lets Mac users use Ethernet Cabling instead of the usual LocalTalk cabling, what I specifically need to know is which protocol is used. Is it the standard ethernet protocol (whatever that is) or is it some type of Apple standard just running at a higher speed due to the Ethernet option (ie would a standard Ethernet device be able to talk to the Mac or would the software need to be rewritten) ? I have also heard of EtherTalk phase 2 - what is it ? Any help appreciated, thanks, Scott. __/ Scott Seaton Hardware Group Gestetner R & D (02)9750555 / /\ scott@gestetner.oz(Cyberspace Cosmonaut)|Gestetner is not responsible for | /___ "...remember, it's a different game at |anything I may or may not have X__/ the game..." - The Black Rat - 2MMM FM |said, done or thought about.
