The bit I'd like is the use of a routing cache so that Macs stop this truly stupid business of sending to the most recently noticed router; why Apple ever did this is a mystery to me, but I'd like to stop having my Ethernetted Macs sending to my CAP host by first sending the packet to a machine which runs Liaison, which sends them to the Multigate, which wraps them in IP packets and sends them to my UNIX host. My impression is that I have to have all of Phase 2 or none of it: is this correct for Ethernet machines (I know that LocalTalk remains Phase 1 forever more)? -- William Roberts ARPA: liam@cs.qmw.ac.uk Queen Mary & Westfield College UUCP: liam@qmw-cs.UUCP Mile End Road AppleLink: UK0087 LONDON, E1 4NS, UK Tel: 01-975 5250 (Fax: 01-980 6533)
