Message-ID: <14013@snow-white.udel.EDU> Date: 15 Mar 90 19:05:18 GMT Sender: mmdf@udel.EDU Lines: 23 All, Does anyone out in Amiga-Land know of a Word Processor that doesn't keep all DATA (TEXT) in memory?., but saves parts of the TEXT to a temporary file? I mean, why have the whole document in RAM, but have it on disk. This way a 512k Amiga owner could write a 700k file and not worry about RAM being sucked away. This would be good even for users with 9 megs of RAM. I know 9 megs is a lot, but a 44meg removable hard drive (GVP) could hold a huge document. Its true that using the floppy drive would be somewhat slower, but for those who have hard drives wouldn't have to worry. What do you Amiga lovers think?? I know I'd like atleast the OPTION. _____________________________________________________ / //// / / / //// Paul Cardwell / Amiga / / \\\\//// ccucard@indsvax1 / Rules!!! / / \\//// Indiana State University / / /______\/\/______________________________/___________/
