After ruling out shorts and pressure cause by the A2000 cover the only possibility left is increased internal RF noise when the cover is on. The big question is what can one do to easily solve this noise problem? On another note, there seems to be a bug in the BridgeBoard software (Commodore is aware of this). The problem comes when you try to boot in Color mode from the harddrive. Instead of booting the PC you get a really nasty crash, fireworks and all. The solution is to delete one of the files in the PC/system directory (I forget which one) and let the Bridgeboard software create this file itself. Hope this helps. I am going to take my computer back to the dealer. He said he would call Commodore and see if they have a fix for the A2286/A2000. I'll post the results when I get more info.
