The main thing is to be sure to set the flag TOPBORDER in th proper field of the gadget. Also, you might want to place the gadget AHEAD of the Intuition system gadgets. I wouldn't advise placing it "over" the close gadget. And, the trickier you get, the more likely your program will need to be revised for future versions of the system.
