Help!

I've just installed vs 10.2 on a DS3500 in novice mode, and as
it is the only node on the 'network' so far, I attempted to 
create and start the registry processes following the steps
outlined in the installation guide. 

When trying to start llbd and glbd, I noticed that they were
not in /etc but in /etc/ncs. Furthermore, even when specifying
/etc/ncs to start glbd, I get an error that it is not found
(llbd starts OK).

In addition to that, I can't log in as root using the distribution
password -apollo- because the registry service is not functioning.

If anyone can offer some advice to a true apollo novice, please do!
