Message-ID: <11048.netnews.info-apple@pro-novapple> Date: 19 Mar 90 23:25:28 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 21 A friend of mine who has a Laser 128 EX with a 1-meg board is having the problem of the Laser automatically formatting the entire megabyte of memory as a RAMdrive upon turning the computer on, leaving no extra memory to be used by programs, such as for a scrollback with ProTERM, etc. Naturally, he finds this rather disturbing, but he has not been able to find a way to delete or discontinue the RAMdrive to free up the memory... His configuration is a Laser 128 EX, ROM version 5.0, with the built in expansion board filled to 1 meg, accessed as slot 5 drive 1 when it's a RAMdrive. Any ideas or suggestions on how to solve this problem (besides getting a real Apple... ;) would be greatly appreciated!
