Well we're making progress.  With your help I have mastered (far from it) 
the UNIX directory syntax and was able to receive my first file, a text 
file. 

Now the challenge is that the file is sent in a UUENCODED format. (God 
another format :-) ).  I've can handle this on my PC and have found some 
utilities to handle this on a VAX.....does anyone know of any utility that 
will handle this format on an Apple?
