I count one new GS since the production version (ROM 01), being the ROM 03 machine. The original ROM 00 (Woz) was almost a beta version and certainly a preproduction quality ROM. ROM 01 should be considered the base. The inclusion of a RAM card and how much memory is populated on it certainly shouldn't be considered different versions by any but the most desperate trying to make a very weak point. If you want to include RAM sizes, might as well include the replacement of the original Video chip in the GS. Most would consider that replacement of a faulty design/production but I guess you'd consider it a new "Version" of the GS, eh? Well, if minor variants are counted, then we should be able to count different video cards, disk sizes, RAM sizes in the Mac line up also, inflating those numbers also. I count one GS upgrade (crippled one at that, the ROM 03) and one //c + upgrade vs. the many for the Mac line up.
