I can't solve your problems, but share them. If you use version 1.25 of
the PC-Speed software, fprget about it. This version was buggy. At least
on 3 different hardware-configurations it was not possible to change
DOS-partitions. also the stack-overflows happened (not only with dBase).

Using version 1.30 has made things a lot better, but it still happens
that programs hang up. But it's the nearly 'normal' rate and the 
problems do not appear continously. If you get other solutions than those
posted in this newsgroup, youre kindly requested to email.
