I develop a program that writes metafiles. What is necessary to opnwk(Metafile) ? The problem: My code always bombed with a buserror and a gemfile.gem 68 bytes long until I noticed that every example program in every gem book I know of made an opnvwk on screen before. I did that to too and it ran. Furthermore I found out that the virtual workstation doesn't need to be open while writing metafiles, it has to be opened once and may be closed directly afterwards. I conclude that this may have something to do with gdos loading drivers and fonts etc. or at least some sideeffects inside gdos. Did anybody else see this ?
