Yes, it is possible to connect a modem to the PCjr.
In fact, IBM created a special internal modem for the PCjr.  Unfortunately,
it only runs at 300 baud.

This company sells Hays compatable modems and cables for connection to the
PCjr.  They also have communication software available.

I have purchased a few of their products and have found them to be of good
quality.

The 1200/2400 baud modem lists for $249. in their recent catalog.

I do not work for this company, or get any benefits.  Just want to pass the
info along to another PCjr user.
