I downloaded 4dos 3.0 from simtel20 last night (Thanks to whoever did
that) and I read in the manual that it takes care of the problem of
properly redirecting output of batch files, as long as none of the lines
within the batch file include redirection.

If you have 4dos 2.2, defintely spend the time getting this upgrade. 
(The manual went up to 175 pages approx from last version's 130(?)).
