I am researching hard disks/controllers. This time I am trying to find out info about compatability. Does anyone have any experience with various manufacturers of disks and controllers? I am trying to determine if all controllers of a given type (ie, SCSI, EDSI, ST506) will work with all drives of the same type. Yes, I know that these are supposed to be "standards", but I have had several bad experiences with "standards" in the past. Please E-mail your responses. We don't receive at least one of the groups I am posting this to. If there is an interest, I will post a summary when the responses trickle down. -- Dan Rich | ARPA: drich@dialogic.com UNIX Systems Administrator | UUCP: uunet!dialogic!drich Dialogic Corporation | - Time is an illusion.
