I have a major problem with my Packard Bell Packmate I (AT clone): For some reason, certain programs lock up my COM ports (both of them). I have experienced this problem with TELIX (terminal program), but KERMIT works just fine. Now I have just noticed that the Print Spooler in WINDOWS/286 does the same when I send a file longer than a page to my Imagewriter II. The spooler tells me that it is "Unable to write to COM2" - much the same problem I had with TELIX... I could receive data, but not send it. This problem is now getting on my nerves. PLEASE - if anyone out there has any ideas what the problem could be (I have tried changing parameters such as Hardware/no handshake, &c. but to no avail), I would MUCH appreciate help! Thank you Nick V112P69M@UBVMS hdb@sun.acsu.buffalo.edu
