Lines: 11 I've seen a baclight retrofit (Axonic) for the T1000 advertised in Byte for about $300 US, and a backlit screen (according to Canadian Consumer) from BTE Supply in British Columbia for about $330 Canadian. I'm not sure whether the latter is a complete replacement screen or a retrofit which necessitates sending the computer to BC for upgrading. My chief complaint with the T1000 is (of course) the barely legible screen. Has anyone added a backlit screen ? Does it make a significant difference ?? How severely does it affect battery life ? I will write to BTE Supply for additional information, but would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone this route.
