Hey, guys, how about a non-technical answer to this question.

Do you have the RIGHT to distribute the fonts in question?

If you built them yourself, then it is a pure-technical issue.

If they've been acquired, they are not yours to give away.

Make sure you've negotiated a distribution agreement with the author 
before thinking about breaking Apple's tech. rules.
