The story goes like this: Some people asked me over to take a look at their Mac to see if I could find out why the harddisk didn't show up. I packed my diskettes and went over to see what I could do, this is what I discovered. They have a Mac Plus which have been unused for several year with an internal 20M SuperDrive harddisk, which didn't mount. I was able to mount it using SCSI Probe, the drive didn't show up on the list of SCSI devices, but anyway I found a program that was supposed to install some resources into the system so the Mac could recognize the SuperDrive and it did work when I used system 5.5 but when I tried to install system 6.0.x I got the message "A resource is missing". When I used ResEdit to take a closer look I saw to my amazement, remember that I'm new in this Mac business, that the SuperDrive seemed to use a MFS filesystem. So my guess is that the error message is related to this or ... ? So what do I do to use this SuperDrive with 6.0.x ( they need this version since the programs they plan to use demands at least 6.0.x ) ?? Is there an updated program to install resources so that the SuperDrive can use a HFS filesystem ??
