I spoke today with Informix customer service.  They said that the
educational version of 1.1 was sent out yesterday; allow two
weeks for delivery.

One quite annoying addition:  the new scripting manual will not be included 
in the upgrade.  This is _very_ upsetting for those of us who purchased
the educational version months after the new manuals were being included
for free with the commercial version.   Worth a nasty letter to the
publisher.
