It worked fine on my Mac Plus under System 6.0.4 so I assume it will work fine on whatever you might have. It was public domain (not so sure, it might have been shareware) and the way it worked is that you told it (a DA) to select a certain menu item (usually Save) after either a certain number of keypresses, after a given amount of time has elapsed, or one other option that I can't recall at this time.
