  I'm having a problem with the video on my Mac Plus (upgraded from 128k)
which I've heard is pretty common and hoping I can get some assistance with.
For a couple of weeks the right side of the screen would tend to shrink 
and grow, as well as also get some occasional snow on the entire screen.
Over the weekend it went completely blank, except for a vertical line right
down the center of the screen, my guess now being a horizontal voltage
problem.  When I was ready to take it in for repair, I tested it again
first, and it's back to working as before, full picture, but with the same
problems.
  I seem to remember reading that some of the early power supplies were very
susceptible to having flakey solder joints on the power supply board.  Has 
anyone had similar problems to mine and found a do it yourself way to fix
the problem?  I realize that eventually I'll probably have to replace the
power supply, but if I can prolong it until it completely fails (especially
at $150+ to have it replaces), I'd be happy.
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
