I just finished writing a GIF viewer for the NeXT.
You can anonymous ftp it from 'csus.edu' [130.86.90.1].

It seems to work pretty good.  There are a few small quirks, but I haven't
seen any major bugs.  I'm releasing it as beta release 0.9, because I know
someone is going to find a bug!  It supports all of the standard windowing
functions like hide, close, and re-size.  If you have a GIF file that doesn't
work, I would like to see it.  I haven't been able to find GIFs with a local
color table, or multiple images, so I don't think the viewer will work right.
It did work with most of the GIFs I could find on the Internet.
