FrameMaker does not support access to bibliographic databases.

Some people coming from strong non-wysiwyg applications are not
happy with wysiwyg apps like FrameMaker. Then again alot of people
love it. I'm sorry if our marketing claims gave you the wrong 
impression of FrameMaker. If you really want to have an impact,
you can post suggestions to comments@frame.com. 

Also make sure you have release 2.0a. You can use the macro 
facility to create single character key equivalents. 2.0 has
limited macro trigger abilities.
