(Ok, I admit this is a plug for my book but there is still little more than the manuals around. Student accessible stuff is particularly rare.) "Computer architecture & organization", Pitman 1990 by Ian East... ...contains over thirty pages on the transputer, explaining how it supports Occam implementation. Many assembler code segments illustrate how constructs, procedure invocation etc. are accomplished. It is intended to be accessible by (fairly advanced) students. Constructive criticisms welcome plus comments on just what kinds of books are needed. Ian
