The fact that the FTM Z-1492 is a VGA monitor has very little to do with the quality of its output. This depends on the video card. Thus, should the FTM pins fit your CGA adapter, you should get CGA output. For some reason, I think you should have trouble connecting the two given that the FTM expects an analog output.
