I have that exact configuration. 386/ix 2.0.2 running X11R3 (v1.1 ?) and have a VRAM with 512k and a NEC 2A monitor all running in 800x600x16 mode... works just fine... and although I can't swear about the performance of the VRAM, I did configure it to run in 16 bit ram mode and thing seem fine.. and as long as we're on the subject... What does 386/ix do when it comes up and it see's that I have my video rom and bios ram shadowed.??? things work fine.. but does it scarf back the memory or leave it alone.?? this is on a 25 Mhz 386 with AMI bios and C&T Neat set. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I never met a computer I didn't like," | David Mutterer (N2IDF) "---unless it was made by IBM.!" | {rutgers!}rylos!dave -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
