In this case, the problem/question is simply that when I link a bunch of object files in one directory with a bunch of other object files linked together with ld -r in another directory, functions defined in the "ld -r" object file (but called elsewhere) don't get resolved. As usual, I'm sure that this question has easy resolution. I can, of course, use a library or else just link all the .o files together _en masse_. I'd rather know what is going on with ld -r (at least for Xenix/386 2.3.2), though. (Note: I have R'dTFMP, though perhaps not correctly.) -Richard L.
