Message-ID: <26188@ut-emx.UUCP> Date: 15 Mar 90 21:34:36 GMT Organization: Moose & Squirrel Software Lines: 26 The R4 TWM has some really *neat* features, but I have one very large complaint. I want to specify "IconRegions" so that the clients that I can't tack an icongeometry onto (why, oh why isn't "IconGeometry" a standard part of the Toolkit options?) will end up somewhere useful. However, when I use IconRegions, TWM wants to put *all* of my icons in them! Upon startup, its ok - icons are where I put them, either with icon geometry or manually. As soon as I open and then reiconify the window, the icon ends up **in an icon region**. This is NOT what I want! It appears that TWM looks at the WM_HINTS only the first time and ignores it thereafter. That is bad behavior. Any **good** reason why it's like this? -Clyde Hoover Shouter-To-Dead-Parrots @ Univ. of Texas Computation Center; Austin, Texas clyde@emx.utexas.edu; ...!cs.utexas.edu!ut-emx!clyde Tip #268: Don't feel insecure or inferior!
