Usually you want to duplicate an entire X display, not just a single xterm. One method used the xtm_record and xtm_play programs supplied in the XTest suite. The other uses a a simular extension called XTrap (presented at the X Technical conference). Both of them seem to work reasonably well, although the XTrap solution seemed to be far better syncronized. Unfortunatley, XTrap has not yet been released to the X community, although it is hoped to be available *soon*. - Marc ========================================================================== Marc Evans - WB1GRH - evans@decvax.DEC.COM | Synergytics (603)893-8481 Unix/X-window Software Contractor | 3 Koper Ln, Pelham, NH 03076 ==========================================================================
