I didn't see the origional message, assuming the question was 
"how can I get Xw for sparcs?"

It's difficult, the version on the R4 tape has a heap of bugs 
(mostly int vs Dimension) and causes pretty serious resource leaks at both
ends (client and server). 
This is only a problem for relatativly complex cleints, and I too would advise
against starting a new application with Xw.

I've fixed a good many of the bugs (those that were a problem for my clients).
It may be possible for me to contribute these changes to the net (I'll have to
check with "those who pay" ).
