Lines: 16 I am trying to understand what the following message implies. XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Error 0) on X server "mordor:0.0" after 3589 requests (3589 known processed) with 43 events remaining. The exact situation is this. I have a client running on Machine A with the server on Machine B and this is the message that the client generates when it crashes. It appears to happen when our ethernet is heavily loaded. Is this a reasonable cause of this error message? The client happens to express, a troff previewer, but in fact xtroff does the same thing! Always in the late afternoon when there is a lot of traffic. Suggestions, comments and how to track this down would be much appreciated. --Rich Auletta rauletta@gmuvax2.gmu.edu
