Lines: 20 I looks like my original posting didn't make it, so here goes again. Apologies if this is a duplicate. Here's the setup. Sun 4, SunOS 4.0.3, R4. I have compiled the Xsun server with -O3, as opposed to -O2 (or -O). It seems to be working fine. I'll try -O4 next. Since I'm relatively new to Suns (9 months) I was wondering if there is any particular reason why I should not do this. In general, performance is already very good on 4/260s and 4/370s. Does anyone have any ideas how much of a perfomance change this should have; or am I just chasing shadows?
