What types of benefits are realized when hi, I have heard the JSE 1 sometimes back. The listening room could HAve been better, but the JSE was still quite impressive. It has quite a warm overall tonality, and should compares favorably with Thiel, Vandersteen, etc. Interestingly, I have talked to a dealer that carries both the Fried and JSE. He claimed the JSE is better than similarly priced Fried. I have not heard the Fried however. BTW, I didn't hear anything special because of the > 100dB crossover. But it's a well engineered, good sounding speaker. casey
