My wife and I moved up here to the Cincinnati area last October and as spring is now on the verge (despite the snow yesterday... :-) ) we figure the migration ought to bring us some goodies. Anybody know good places to bird in the vicinity? We have been to a state park just north of town (actually we live in Oxford), which has an unbelievable species richness of wood- peckers--seven species thus far, including a fair number of pileated. Other than that, however, we're pretty well stumped. In addition, we moved from Austin Texas--when should we expect the spring migration to peak around south-central Ohio? I would figure late April, but is that too late? Any advice appreciated; please post to the net or mail me directly. Thanks!
