I'd like to amplify the sound of a string quartet (two violins, viola, and cello). I'd appreciate advice relating to the following questions: 1What kind of microphone, amplifier, and speaker would produce sound at the lowest cost, or produce sound with the highest fidelity? 2) What brand names or dealers are reputable? 3) Would it be possible to save money through a do-it-yourself project?
