The object of this deranged search is to hook a seperate terminal to the 1000 and run a version of the dnet fterm client on it. (The actual reason for this is that my roomate and I need to be on the same computer a lot, and can't afford the $300 or so that the phone company wants to give us a second line.) Of course, it would also be nice if there were a way to run a cli from the remote terminal once spawned from the 'main console' My other thought involved using the parallel port. The hardware involved might be a bit tricky and need to buffer the input from the terminal. The software driver would have to check the status of a data available line every so often and read in stuff from the parallel port. In any case, if anyone has any comments or ideas, scream loudly. -- <------------------------------------------------------------------------------> < FRANK BRANHAM | "I exist; therefore I am." > < Georgia Institute of Technology | -The Patchwork Quilt > < Internet: gt4662b@prism.gatech.edu | by August Derleth >
