There are several packages available for the Amiga which will try and optimize the files so that they are in contiguous blocks, and at optimal places on the disk. The two I have seen are "TuneUp" which comes with the "Disk Mechanic" utility disk, and B.A.D. Either one of these should do the job, assuming you have enough memory for the cache. TuneUp will let you set the cache size, but if you have it too low, it will take years to complete. It also has a cancel gadget, which you should be sure and NEVER EVER use.
