After one weekend of solder sucking and solder sockets and a few days of debugging a bad chip, I got the card to work in my 2000. I also had to add some 1K pullups to the DRAM side of the 2 LS245's on the card. It also works fine with my new GVP SCSI + 8 controller (with 0 Meg). I had found, like a lot of people who made the 1000 to 2000 upgrade, that there was no way for me to use the memory I had in my StarboadII. They weren't making the adapters any more and no one seemed to make a card to hold 256K x 1 DRAMs. I found out that these guys in Scotts Valley had some bare 2Meg cards that were designed for these chips and promptly drove up and got one. I was lucky enough to finally get it working since there was no gauruntee it would ever work. Now I just need to find someone who wants to buy any empty StarboardII! +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | // AA M M I GGGGGG AA | | Parker J.
