Rochberg) Organization: Washington University, St. Louis, MO Lines: 16 My chemistry teacher would like to build a digital geiger counter, and I have agreed to help him. We hope to build a device that will change the output of the geiger tube into a TTL-compatible signal (This shouldn't be too hard, but help would be appreciated) and then measure the time between pulses with a 32.7 Khz clock (easy to build). The part we need help with is sending the resulting two bytes of data to the science department's Apple IIe. Can anyone tell me how to do this or give me references. This is for a public high school, so there is a shortage of money, but we are willing to spend a good deal of time on the project. Please e-mail responses, as I don't normally read this group.
